New Voice Activated Remote to 4k Joey Customers

Newly designed remote coming with 4K Joey setups. The 4K Joey setups are expected to launch in the 2nd quarter of 2015. This new remote is sleeker and more convenient to DISH consumers. The new “Hopper Voice Remote” will have built in voice recognition, touch pad and minimal buttons. In fact the new voice remote only has 17 buttons compared to the 53 buttons on the original Hopper remote. The voice controlled remote allows you to change channels, search by topic, genre, actor or title and command any basic function of the remote. The touch pad will allow you to do swipe and scroll functions which eliminates most of the buttons. The touch pad will have two modes. On will be an illuminated numeric buttons for changing channels and the other will be a blank screen which allows for swiping like you would with your phone or tablet. The new remote dimensions are 5.59″ (length) x 2.25″ (width) x 1.02″ (depth). Two AA batteries power the new remote and are expected to last anywhere from 4 to 6 months.
